History:

*born in England, bitty little girl that wanted to be an actress

*decided to fake her own death in another sort of accident (she never liked her family) and indulge her desire to live in some higher risk

Abilities:

Canon:

"Grell has the regular set of reaper abilities:
-high speed
-supernatural strength
-good endurance
-a spiritual sensitivity that allows her to distinguish between humans and nonhumans (though obviously limited by the races she's had personal exposure to)
-with significant effort, the ability to change small details in her appearance such as hair colour or teeth shape
-the ability to summon a death scythe. Her scythe in particular is modelled after a chainsaw. The death scythe is claimed to cut through anything except another of its own, and while the validity of that is under question, in canon the scythe has been shown to tear up metal, stone, bodies, the deck of a ship, and has horizontally bisected an entire horse-drawn carriage complete with undead horse in a matter of seconds.

The scythe comes with an additional ability called the Cinematic Record, a power which can only be used by the reapers to judge souls of humanoid entities. If someone is cut with the scythe, their memories will play out like on a film reel. This means that Grell, the person affected, and any other people around with spiritual sensitivity are able to see it. The specific memories witnessed are related to the degree of injury; the worse damage, the farther back it can go. Likewise, if the cut is very shallow and non-life-threatening, then less than a year・s worth of memories are all that appear."

AU'd:
-Regen: Grell has an exceptional form of regeneration that has invaded all her cells. While it's not Claire-from-Heroes level of regen, most injuries can be healed over the course of a day, and severe things, including near fatal injuries, can be dealt with over several.
--The downsides: she's not sure if she can die now or not, her vision's fucked over, she can't have children, and the regeneration works too fast for its own good-if she's shot, that wound is sealing with the bullet in it if she doesn't take it out.
-Physical: Tied to her regeneration, she has exceptional endurance in physical combat and activity. She has advanced strength, grace, and agility, which is more a matter of personal training than anything else. While she'll never lift a car or dodge a bullet, she can definitely carry a full grown man a decent distance and is light on her feet in fighting.
-Mental: She has a sharp memory, has fucking great acting skills, and is trilingual (English, German, French). She also possesses an extensive knowledge of murder techniques and ways to conceal weapons.

Attached is my resume for the position of associate professor at your school.

I have always been working with the goal of teaching someday in my mind, ever since I was a young girl, because I admired teachers and their dedication to helping more of the world learn. From that goal, I have achieved a level of education from which I believe I can begin to teach others in the study of the criminal mind and how it overlaps with the artistic drive.

While I would prefer smaller classes in order to attain a level of intimacy for comfort's sake with my students on this admittedly controversial topic, the size of the class is nothing compared to being able to hold discussions with students that they feel they can contribute to and gain from. As art is a subject that should be open to a large degree of interpretation, I would hope that the student in my class would seek to add their own interpretation into the work we would be discussing and feel free to speculate on the whys rather than accepting everything I say as unquestionable. To that end, my classes would be taught in a combination of lectures, debates, and theory building, to culminate in a choice between written essay on a particular person studied in or out of class or working with a fellow student to present two interpretations of the same topic, which they will debate. This is designed to assist both student who are comfortable with public speaking and those who are not.

I feel as though I could bring another way for your students to broaden their minds towards the world and hopefully encourage them to not shy back from the more gruesome aspects of the world but rather accept them.
